Are you saying that you can't watch the video/s using firefox? Or are you wanting to use an alternative viewer when you select a video?

i have w32codecs installed and that contained some dlls i think, firefox is installetd in a none standard location wich could be the reason it dosnt work but the other extensions i have installed (tabbrowser preferences, session saver and adblock) all work. one more thing i have been trying to install the mplayer extensions from commpresed folders instead of th xpi files wich you install normal extensions from. I did this simply because i coudnt find xpi file for the mplayer extensions do you know a location where they can be found? also how about that guide

To re-compile:
Edit Makefile to suit to your system.
Type 'make'.
To install globally:
make install
copy all mozplugger* files to /usr/local/firefox/plugins/ except mozpluggerrc which goes to the main firefox directory
Your firefox plugin directory is typically one of:
/usr/local/firefox/plugins
I you don't want to put mozpluggerrc in /etc/ you can put it in one of:
/usr/local/firefox
You might also want to customize your 'mozpluggerrc' file before installing it.
