MP3 Player problems / Could not enter...

Good evening,

Okay... let me preface the situation:

Running SuSE 9.1 personal on an Averatec 5110H Laptop
RCA (Thompson) Lyra 1090 256mb MP3 Player

Okay, my quest to eliminate windows from this notebook (dual boot right now) has run into another snag. I have run into issues with USB storage devices in the past (card readers), but I was able to solve them with the suseplugger / hardware configuration tool. This however has proved futile with my MP3 player. When I plug in the player, it shows up under my computer has "USB Hard Disk" (also under /media/usb-odd- .yada yada yada) - When I try to access the player either as a standard user or root, I get the same error "COULD NOT ENTER" below that message it gives a path... folder/media/usb-storage-odd......... Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you for your time,
ArcadeJedi

Additional information: I also tried to manually mount the MP3 player and the system told me "can't read superblock" -
