download the "MP3 plugin" for xmms for RH9 from Radhat.com
It's a binary rpm, working well on my computer.

If you did not find, give me your e-mail address, I can mail to you.

Talking omg thats lazy......tee hee hee

you could always do this:

apt-get install xmms-mp3

this will then do it all for you.

assuming you have apt-rpm installed.
