MP3 in Linux

Heyy...i'm K.A. and i'm a freebie.i tried various linux distros but failed desperately to play mp3 audio and mpeg videos.so please suggest me a linux distro which can support these and various audio and video formats...

most distros will support these but due to legal reasons most don't come with support enabled.

choose a distro that you like the look of,
go the the distros forum here for you distro, and read the stickeys,
most distros tell you how to enable media support in the stickeys...

others eg. ubuntu will just ask you if you want to insatll support the first time you try to play such a file
