Mp3 crashed randomly

Hi there,

I'm not so new to the Linux, but I choose to post here as my question could be pretty lame :)
For some time I'm a happy user of Debian Lenny, before among other distros was Fedora and I struggle with Gentoo for a while. I always (always!) found everything through google but this time I don't know where to start.

The problem is mp3, during the play it seems randomly crash/freeze whole Rhytmbox (it doesn't matter what player I use as long it's mp3). After a minute I can force it to quit but when I play music again it happens again almost immediately. Nothing will change until I restart system.
The question is: where I can find some log files to check where is the problem, is there any diagnostic tool for ALSA? I dont' really know.

I'll send you any other information, just ask.

It's really annoying, I appreciate any help or directions lads ;-)

Maybe following this guide might help: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=225660. The user of post #15 describes the same problem as yours using rhythmbox, following the guide solved his issue.
