Mozzila plug ins not showing up but show installed need help


I am so tired, going on 3 days with Ubuntu 64 and nothing but my internet is working properly.

I installed Java it shows installed but isnt coming up in mozilla firefox so I cant go to chats to get help.

Also, it wont update my Nvidia drivers or allow me to install flash player 9.

I have the newest most up to date version of Ubuntu, please help me.

To get flash working you'll need to use a chroot jail
of a 32-bit ubuntu. There's a pretty good walk-through
on http://www.ubuntuforums.org. If you're planning on
doing other multimedia-stuff like using DVDRIP I'd recommend
grabbing the 32-bit 6.06 LTS. I've had nothing but trouble
with the 64 bit version (and the speed gain for the native
apps wasn't noticeable). Note that I recommend using the
long-term support version, Dapper Drake, not Edgy.

As for the java plugin. Installing java doesn't install
the plugin; that's a separate package, have a look in your
package manager of choice.
