Mozilla won't start....
I'm running Knoppix, HD installation (using the 'old Debian method), on an old IBM 300PL w/ 128m Ram, as root.
I'm having a problem with Mozilla. I was browsing this morning, I click on a link somewhere, and it crashed. Then, I go to open Mozilla again, and it won't start. I've tried running it in both KDE and Fluxbox with the same response- the HD has a little activity, then nothing happens. I've rebooted my maching several times, and still the same thing. Any suggestions? "Linux" is the new black... |
Try running from a Mozilla from a terminal, it should display why it's crashing, hopefully.... and it's not a good idea to be root all the time, especially when surfing the web...

I normally wouldn't run everything under root, but for some reason the users I create won't log in.... I type in the user name and password, and the computer does the same thing it does when it's using too much ram- it shuts down the xserver, and restarts it.
And, for some reason, the terminal doesn't display the errors.... just goes back to the prompt.... |
