Mozilla Upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.5

I recently installed Redhat 9.0 and wanted to upgrade my Mozilla browser from 1.2.1 to 1.5

I downloaded the latest .tar.gz file from Mozilla.org.

During the install process it showed a destination folder and the folder was set to /usr/local/mozilla
but Redhat installed mozilla (1.2.1) in /usr/lib/mozilla1.2.1 folder, should I be creating a new folder
in /usr/lib/mozilla1.5 and install it there.

I want to upgrade my browser. Does this process fresh install a new version? what steps should I take
to upgrade.

Thanks,
Vaibhav.
