Mozilla acting up badly... Need help.

Okay, I just reinstalled linux on my computer (dual boot now) after almost a year. I was going to wait until I got my new tower this fall but I just missed linux so much that I had to reinstall it again.

Its been a good while since I used linux and I fogot a lot of basic commands in the Konsole. But I didn't think I would'nt be able to tackle Mozilla and tailoring it to my preferences.

Problem # 1 - Now, I am used to being able to scroll a page with the mouse wheel. However, when I use Mozilla in Mandrake 10.1 Official, it changes browser pages instead of scrolling up or down. So I said, i'll just change it from the preferences. So I changed the appropriate options and restarted Mozilla. Guess what? It still doesn't work. I also changed the font to a bigger font and still, nothing happened.

Can someone tell me what is the problem? Also, I was not root when making these changes.
