Moving website from one machine to another
Hello all, I am a complete newbie to Linux. All help is greatly appresicated. Here's my story:

Recently, I purchased a ecommerce site. It was stored on a Cent OS 5 machine in the /var/www folder. Two days ago I setup another Cent OS 5 machine in hopes that I will be able to create a testing server for this ecommerce site. I copied the files from machine number 1 to the /var/www folder and my fresh Cent OS 5 machine. Prior to this move I had set the IP address to machine # 2. when I type in the IP address however, the site does not show up.

Please, what do I need to do to have the ecommerce site running of both of the machines? Again thanks for any help possible in this endeavor.

You would also need to make sure the web server software was installed on the new machine and copy over the web server configuration files. Probably residing somewhere like /etc/apache2/.
