Moving /home to another LV/VG

Hi,

I want to move /home from / to /NewDirectory, where / is under system_vg/root_lv and /NewDirectory is under newdirectory_vg/newdirectory_lv.

Is it just as simple as doing the following:

1. mkdir /NewDirectory/home
2. cp -r /home/* /NewDirectory/home
3. Edit fstab, add:

/dev/mapper/newdirectory_vg-newdirectory_lv /NewDirectory/home ext4 defaults 1 0

4. fsck /NewDirectory
5. reboot

I feel as if this is too easy and may not work? I'm kinda anxious to try it.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

When I display mount, it shows that /home is not mounted anywhere:

# mount
/dev/mapper/systems_vg-root_lv on / type ext4 (rw)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,rootcontext="system_ubject_r:tmpfs_t:s0")
/dev/mapper/systems_vg-boot_lv on /boot type ext4 (rw)
/dev/mapper/agencyapps_vg-agencyapps_lv on /AgencyApps type ext4 (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
sunrpc on /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs type rpc_pipefs (rw)
gvfs-fuse-daemon on /root/.gvfs type fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon (rw,nosuid,nodev)

I'm just wondering that if I add it to fstab, it'll be persistent across reboots.

Thanks!
