Moving from DG/UX to Linux

I'm moving a system from an old DG/UX system (Aviion) to a Linux system. I know DG/UX quite well, but am having problems with Linux. I wanted to use the "pg" command, but it seems it's not recognised. Is it the "shell" that's set up on Linux (bash), or is it something else?

I feel your pain. I tried to go the other way (to Solaris), and nothing seemed to be where it was supposed to be. Go find a "cheat sheet" with your favoured search engine.
For a text file pager try "less <filename>" (no quotes). "q" to quit.
man works on linux.

Welcome to the forums! I had to look up DG/UX, which sounds rather nice. You might find these helpful

PDF and printable versions are available, too.
