Mousewheel not working

Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new to linux, but I'm starting to get a handle on how everything works, and I'm learning a lot about what I need to be doing.

Anyways, something that's really bugging me is that my logitech optical mouse won't work properly. Everything is fine except that the mousewheel just doesn't work.

I went into dselect and got "imwheel," but that didn't fix the problem.

I ran imwheel, and even imwheel -c (but I couldn't figure out what was going on when i did that configure option).

So, anyone encounter the same thing, or know how to solve it?

Easy enough add the line below to /etc/X11/XF86Config under the Pointer Section:
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
And for future reference, please use the search function. This is one of those often asked questions that already has too many threads.

You need to edit the /etc/X11/XF86Config file and add a few lines. Search here for what exactly to do.
Edit : See these:
