Mouse stopped working


remind me of how I can restart the mouse to work without restarting comp...


Mouse is frozen or something, it worked till I unlocked screensaver then I havn't seen him since.

I don't know exactly why your mouse "stopped" working - in most cases I came across, it had something to do with some X services crashing or freezing, that's why I'd advise to restart X; besides, restarting X won't harm your system or reboot it - it'll only reinitiate all services connected with X, one of which is the pointer. You'll have to relogin, though.

Did you check if the mouse was still working on console (if you use gdm or the likes...)?
