Mouse stop to work after install a latex package

Sorry, but my english is not the best.

I make a mistake when I install a latex package. The system asked me something that I didnīt understand, so that I clicked cancel to hope that the installation stoped, but it didnīt. After this, my mouse stop to work. And when I disconnect it, the graphic display canīt running so I am working without a mouse; but I am a newbie, so, itīs difficult to me. I installed Debian on my computer. My mouse is a epcot tech with port ps2. I want to know how I do to reestablished my mouse. Thanks.

You can try running
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
, after reconfiguring your video, it lets you reconfigure your mouse as well. Also, using apt-get try uninstalling the package. It may be installed, but just needed the info you gave to run. When you pressed cancel, you most likely left some connection in the system somewhere loose.
