Mouse sensitivity

I'm using Mandrake 9.1 and KDE. It appears my mouse is not sensitive enough. When I move it slowly it simply won't budge on the screen.

I've entered the KDE Control Center -> Peripherals -> Mouse, and tried to change various settings, but none worked on the problem I'm having.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

could be the driver that's designated in your XF86Config is not the right one. (i.e. PS/2, IMPS/2, etc.......)

If your mouse is optical, add
Code:

Option "Resolution" "300"
in the section "InputDevice" in your /etc/X11/XF86Config*.

I was editing the wrong file, missed the * sign there :) Well, I added it and now it works like a charm.

Thanks a lot to you both :)

Sorry about that - depending on your distri, the file's sometimes called XF86Config as well as XF86Config-4. Thanks for posting that it worked. :)
