Mouse Mapping

Hi,
I am trying to change the function of my mouse, a very simple Logitech M185 mouse, which only has 3 buttons. I want to change the middle click to do back one page in Firefox (if it works in other programs so be it).
I understand from my reading that I need to use xbindkeys. That I have installed, I also need to find the button number. In this case it is no. 2.
I have to map this to the command back one page which is alt + back arrow.
If I am not mistaken this is written:
keydown Alt_L' 'key Left' 'keyup Alt_L' &
Ok you are saying where is the problem? Simple, I do not know how to get from this information to actually doing it, and am not sure if this needs to be put in profile, and if so how that is done.
Any help would be much appreciated
Simon
