mouse issue

I have a ubuntu laptop with a touchpad and it does some weird stuff sometimes. When I emulate a middle click on a selected word in Firefox, it loads that URL. That is, if I select (double click on) the word 'please', and then accidentally middle click on it, the URL is loaded, which is a site I didn't intend to go to. This is pretty annoying, how can I get rid of this unwanted feature ?

Bring up your about:config and change middlemouse.contentLoadURL to false.
