It used to work before compiling your kernel?

Did you back up your old one before building a new one?

shizzo 11-12-2003 04:27 PM

yeah it worked normaly and i have back up because i'm working in save boot now so there is no fear for that :).
I'm interested in whats could be the problem?

trallith 11-12-2003 04:30 PM

did you compile the necessary usb support into the kernel?

did you modify the mouse portion of XF86Config since it was useable?

those are my first 2 thoughts.

shizzo 11-12-2003 04:32 PM

hmm ... maybe XF86Config is the problem

how to configure it? :)

trallith 11-12-2003 11:47 PM

xf86config at command line, or you can edit it manually with a text editor (it lives in /etc/X11 usually)
it may be XF86Config-4 also.
