mounting windows drive a problem

hi, i'm having trouble with linuxconf. i wanna mount a "windows" drive so i can open files on it. linuxconf only sees my ide HD, doesnt see the HDD on my Ultra IDE Controller, which is wierd 'cause it sees my DVD which is on the same controller.
Also, i cant mount the one that it does see, it doesnt like my mountpoint. What do i type in for a mountpoint?

First, you need a mount point. As root: "mkdir /mnt/<nameyouwant>"

Then, mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/<nameyouwant>

should work. Your version of RH is pretty old, so if you're windows partition is ntfs, you're stuck, but for newer Linux versions, or older windows versions, you should be fine.

Also, SuperATA (or something like that...I'm tired), may not work without some patching.

Linorg - do a search on seeing ntfs partitions through Linux. This question has been asked and answered many times.
