Hello Gurus,

I'm trying to mount a Windows director but I havenīt been able to make it work.

I have a Windows XP SP3 running a SUSE Linux 11 with VMWARE

I'm sharing a Windows directory in Windows and I've been trying to mount it from SUSE using mount commands withouth sucess :(

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks and kind regards,

Hi -

You have several choices. One of the easiest:

http://opensuse.swerdna.org/suselanprimer.html

1. Go into SuSE Linux, the Yast "control panel" tool, and make sure "Samba" is installed and enabled

2. Go into Windows and share one or more disks or folders

3. You should be able to use the Windows share from Suse Linux

4. Conversely, you should also be able to publish Linux shares and see them from Windows, too.

'Hope that helps .. PSM
