mounting in cygwin

Iīve installed cygwin on my windows xp system, but can't seem to access my C: drive.
I run "mount" and I get a list where my C: is meant to be on cygdrive/c, (with "noumount" after it) but as user with admin rights in XP, I don't see "cygdrive"when I type "ls -al" at root directory.
Kind of weird. ANybody have a solution for this? Iīve been through the cygwin FAQ and manual, but I canīt seem to work this out.*

* OK, ok, this is not linux, but it is linux-like, and fundamentally itīs about bash and the mount command, ain't it?

I got scarce interest in this question, and as often happens, I end up answering my own question myself. All solved now. No answers please- Thanks.
