Mounting DVD_Rom In Linux ( VMWare Virtual Machine)
 

I have installed a Linux Virtual Machine in VMWare. I want to mount dvd-rom in linux. As i put a Linux dvd in my rom. CD/DVD rom icon disappears from Linux System Properties.

Also when i check the mounted points with df -h command. it didnt shows any cd/dvd rom mount point.

Please tell how to mount dvd-rom in Linux (running in VMware).

Note: I have set the my Phyical Drive in Virtual Machine Setting as CD-Rom Drive.

please check your settings of VMware for CD/DVD

I have checked the settings . Settings are ok.

can you find your CD in /dev

for me its

find -name hdc

./hdc


then also see in /etc/mtab file.
