Mounting Debian after installing Windows 8

Hi all,
After partitioning the hard drive I installed Windows 8 last night on a ThinnkPad T61. I burned an ISO for Debian Squeeze, and now would like to mount Squeeze.
I thought that some kind of menu would start during restart or booting up, but
Windows just ignores my DVD-R. Any suggestions?

The only ThinkPad I was able to find on Google based on your description (T61) was the Lenovo ThinkPad Notebook PC-
Is that what you have?

While you ThinkPad is on and Win's is up and running open the DVD/CD drive and place the DVD-R with Debian Squeeze on it and shut the drive door. Turn off the ThinkPad as soon as you close the door to the DVD/CD drive.

Wait for your ThinkPad to completely shut down (about 30 seconds)re-boot and it should start initializing/running the Debian Installation DVD. If not you will have to go into the BIOS and arrange for your ThinkPad to boot first by optical drive. (CDROM Drive)

On my Vaio it's {F2} but I'm not sure what your ThinkPad key is to get into the BIOS; check the manufactures motherboard book or manual that came with your ThinkPad.

Hope that helps.

Well, actually, by pressing F12, you can get to temporary booting device.
