Mounting cdrom drive in rescue mode

Hi All,

When I boot my machines into the rescue mode using RHEL 4 the cdrom is not mouted (df, mount don't show any CDROM is
mouted). Then I try to manually mount the CDROM, but I cannot find any
device name under /dev/ associated with the CDROM. That means, no
/dev/hdb*, no /dev/hdc*, no /dev/cdrom, no /dev/cdrecoder, no
/dev/cdwriter, no /tmp/cdrom, no scsi CDROM device name, ... no
nothing! Then I get stuck.

If any possiblities for mounting cdrom in rescue mode.

Regards
R.B

Hi,

You could check the 'dmesg' for the device assignment if the cdrom is recognized at boot.
