You can do this from the konqueror, In the left side of the window there is a services or devices tab.

But what I preffer is to create links to devices in the desktop:

right click->Create new->link to device

Then choose the device and fill the info needed. This will create a dektop icon for the device (cd-rom, hd, etc) clicking this will mount the device and open konqueror. A right click on the icon will give you an option to eject the device, without having to maually unmounte it.
