Mounting an NTFS Drive for read and write

Im a linux newb with fedora 3 installed, i want to be able to read and write to my ntfs partition, so i first tried installing captive, but it looked like my kernel version wasnt compatible so im trying lufis, but i cant find a good set of commands instructions to mount my drive, or even install lufis, how do i nstall lufis and then use it so it works with captive?
, thanks so much for help

is this possible? from what ive read, it looks like my problem is that it is made for lufs filesystem, and captive is no longer updated, but my newer fedora core 3, uses fuse, so i think lufis is to comensate for this, but im disabled and cant figure it out
