mounting a disk in mandriva

i have created a 52 GB partition to share files between mandriva and ubuntu. In ubuntu i created and a folder called storage in my /media and edited my fstab to mount my /dev/sda3 there. It worked great in ubuntu, i get a link on my desktop (this is what i want). in mandriva i did the same things and it worked but did not put a link in my desktop to the drive. I can go to /media/storage and it says its mounted (properties say it has 52GB free and all). how do i make it show on my desktop like ubuntu does?

thanks in advance!

Doesn't mandriva use kde? In that case, you could rightclick on your desktop and click on "configure desktop". In side Behaviour, there is a tab called "device icons". I think you should be able to your icon there.
Alternatley:
Rightclick on your desktop, "Create new" -> "Link to device".
This if for KDE, I hope it works :)
