Mount problem with ntfs

Hey there guys, this is one of my first post on this forum, =)
I'm having trouble mounting a ntfs partition. When i mount a vfat partition there's no problem at all. But with ntfs i cant get a normal user to see the files. I mean, the partition IS mounted ok but the privilegs are set only for root.
Options in fstab for vfat and ntfs partitions are the same. So I cant explain why vfat works fine with normal users and ntfs doesnt.
I'm using mdk 9.1
thanks guys

see you around

me.

You probably don't have ntfs support compiled into your kernel. I'm not sure exactly where to find it for mandrake though. Maybe google will help.

Which options are you using? You should just need umask=xxx
