mount hard disk have vmunix software


i have old machine with vmunix frame ware (FStype), i wanna to mount its hard disk (SCUSI)on the PC to copy the data, so i install pci/scusi adapter and Linux ubunto on the PC, but i still can't mount the hard disk(i see the partions of the hard but when i click on it have the messege (wrong fs type)

Try this trick using file command:

sudo file -s /dev/path/to/device/partition


you should get output something along the lines of:

/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part4: Macintosh HFS Extended version 4 data last mounted by: 'HFSJ', created: Wed Mar 16 16:42 , etc etc.
