mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel <--- help!


how can i mount ntfs filesystem?
thank you
im using a stock, unmodified RedHat 8.0

The easy way is to get the NTFS module. Search the board for it.

The harder way is to compile a new kernel that has NTFS support.

Just so you know, NTFS access still has the chance that it could mess up the partition, especially writing to it. NTFS is a proprietary filesystem, so programmers have to use trial-and-error to develop for it.
