More Mandrake internet issues

I installed mandrake 9.1 a while ago and have had extreme trouble connecting to the internet. No matter what i do, i just can't connect. I was on the internet in a flash with Red Hat 9, what's the problem?

I tried disabling the firewall (as someone suggested) and still, no luck connecting to the internet.

Is there something I'm missing?

How are you connecting? What's your connection type?
Tried Kppp instead of the MCC for a 56k dialer?

I have cable connection. I'm currently running a dual boot system and the internet works fine in windows.

Are you saying THIS SAME cable connection worked with Red Hat 9 ???
