Question More Linux Problems... (Network Card & LILO)

For those of you following my other posts, I've now tried installing Linux on a computer at school. I have two more questions. I am running RH 7.3 and KDE 3.

1. At home, under the system menu, there is an item called "Internet Configuration Wizard." I can't find this on the instal at school. Here we have a LAN, not a modem, and I need to figure out how to configure my network card. I have lights on the card itself, but when booting up, "Activating eth0..." (or whatever it says) always fails. What is the process for setting up a computer on a LAN with Linux (RH 7.3)?

2. At home, LILO works fine, but here at school, when I select windows, the computer hangs at "Loading Windows..." I can disable the drive in BIOS and get into Windows that way, but what could be causing LILO to mess up like this.
