The best place to start would be with both a Google and LQ search...this has been asked (and answered) on here many, MANY times. Linux systems monitoring tools are abundant, and offer LOTS of features.
Start by looking at Nagios, Cacti, MRTG, and Zabbix. You have to decide on what you want to monitor first. If all you're after is network traffic, then MRTG may be a good thing, since that's its main function. You can break down network statistics on a per-interface basis.
