Monitoring FTP for uploads
 

I've just set up an Ubuntu server in Azure and installed VSFTPD on there which seems to be working well. I now want to get an alert if/when a file is uploaded to a given folder. I was hoping initially to do this externally (via IFTTT or something like that), but it seems I need to linux server to alert me somehow.

Is there any sort of guide or help on how to get a notification when a file has been uploaded to my server?

1. wsftpd is a bit old; I'd have expected vsftpd
