Monitor settings change everytime

I just installed Fedora Core 2 as a dual boot with Windows ME last night. My HP M70 monitor was always fine with Windows but now whenever I start my computer after shutting down from Linux, my monitor settings seem to have randomly changed . One time the screen area was smaller, another time it was off to the lower right. Last boot-up it was off to the right. (This is the monitor itself -- I have to use the buttons on the front to get it back to looking nice). Why is this happening and can I stop it

Is it changing under both systems, or just one? Which one (Linux or Windows)?

It only changes after I shutdown from Linux.
