monitor resolutions are limited after setting up dual head display in fedora

Now that I finally have dual head working in Fedora core1 I can't change my monitor resolutions to 1024x768.I also can't make xinerama work, only clone.
I'm using the onboard Sis Real 256E and a PCI Matrox Mystique video card.Monitors are Liquidvideo 17" lcd and Komodo 14" crt. Both monitors do
32bit color and 1024x768 in windowsxp.
