monitor resolution

I am trying to setup monitor resolution and having issue. I changed the monitor resolution from 800X60 to 1024 X 768 using display settings in centos box, but it is not showing correctly, the letters are not clear. How do I do the proper setting?

You may simply need to adjust your fonts in your window manager. Play around with the different fonts and with anti-aliasing.
