Thanks, rsai. Which operating system (distro and version) are you using?

What method are you using to try to shut it down?

Hi hydrurga thank you for your reply.
For now I use linux mint 18.1 kde.
The method I use to try to stop it: I stop it according to this success: menu K> quit> turn off> a few seconds the extinction is done.
And after rebooting I touch the power button slightly.

** Thank you infiniment hydrurga

There are some suggestions here:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/13288...-of-a-shutdown

For example, it's worth looking in your BIOS to see if you have Wake on LAN enabled.

"And after rebooting I touch the power button slightly."

Try pressing the power button slightly instead of using the menu to see if it will shutdown.

I think there might be a bios setting where it says to power back on power fail or other power setting in conflict with linux. ??

Hello our dear administrator.

I remind you that I use linux mint 18.1 kde.

"" When I want to turn off my laptop.
*To the dash I click on the small icon with a letter K that launches a horizontal menu of 5 icons.
I quit then a vertical menu launches
And I touch switch off (1) it gives
A final page where there is another menu to: turn off. Reboot ... and on the next line there is a 30 second teller for the end of extinction if not tappe on off (2) if I am precise
Now you see that there are two off sir. (1) (2)
Alore:
A) if I put off (1) only: menu> exit> turn off (1).
B) if I try to extinguish (1) then extinguish (2) normally I do not to wait for the end of the storyteller.
Menu> exit> turn off (1)> turn off (2).
And my friend is not the same thing. Here I come across my problem the pc is redemare.
And first perfect case no problem.
Resume: switch off (1) is mandatory not extinguished (2).
My question is what to put off (2) on the menu of the final page ??

thank you so much

For almost every question about Mint, you can use help pages from Ubuntu.

Not sure about the rest of the question you asked. Translation problems.

I see that as well. I realize this is an English language forum, but if it could be of any help, I would be happy to translate the OP's posts if we let him write them in French.

Cheers,

That would be nice of you I'd think. Maybe send an email and try to offer a better idea to us?
