modprobe going crazy

Has anyone seen this in their /var/log/messages?

Code:
¡_¡_
Jul 1 04:03:17 server syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-101
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-10-10
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-101
Jul 1 04:03:38 server last message repeated 15 times
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-10-4
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-10-128
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-10-7
Jul 1 04:03:38 server modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-10-5
¡_¡_
These are constantly appearing in my syslog every second all day for the last few months at least. Why?

You have something wrong in /etc/modules.conf, that make your kernel trying to modprobe "unknown" (no longer know at least...) modules. Have you updated your kernel recently? If you don't use these, you could probably comment them in /etc/modules.conf
