modprobe floppy?
I was playing with Fedora 13 and I noticed that we need to run manually
Code:
modprobe floppy any specific reason why its disabled by redhat guys? |
Probably the same reason it's not loaded by the ubuntu guys. No one uses floppies any more.
It's not enough to say "well I do". You aren't the target audience. How many machines in the last 6 years have been sold with a floppy drive ? |

So the ability to enable the hardware is a wise decision. It still surprise me as to how some still look at the situation as the only way. World situations, Universal usage should be a applied thought. Not singular! :hattip: |
You noticed I changed the OP's pejorative term "disabled" to "not loaded" ?
The OP always seems to take the stance that the distros make concious decisions to make things difficult. IMHO, he needs to make an effort to understand the wider picture. |
Hi,
I agree but most people don't even read the documentation provided let alone try to fully understand intrinsic operations. Curiosity can be a good thing at times. :hattip: |
