Question,
Is it possible to share a modem connection with other cmputers on my network at home? I would like to have my server the dial-up server for internet connection. and also do dial on demand.

sure it is!! there are lots of tools out there for just this too - look at ipmasqerading. iptables (kernel 2.4) and ipchains are both good for this. check out firestarter or pmfirewall (do a goggle search) for this - as for dial on demand there is an option to be put in the /etc/ppp/options file called demand - i don;t remeber the exact syntax - if ya check out the ppp man pages it should help.
