modem problem on upgrading to suse linux 10

Hi

Hope you can help. I have just upgraded my Acer 1363 WLMi laptop from Suse Linux 9.3 to 10.0. On 9.3 I was able to connect to the Internet using Kinternet with no problem but now I get the following log messages:

Trying to connect to SMPPPD
Connect to SMPPPD
Status is disconnecting
Status is connecting
Status is disconnected
PPPd[0] died: pppd options error (exit code 2)

Modem used is an internal AC 97

Thanks

"PPPd[0] died: pppd options error (exit code 2)"

man pppd says exit code 2 means:
"An error was detected in processing the options given, such as two mutually exclusive options being used."

I suggest that you take another look at the setup options that you gave kinternet. If you cannot figure out the conflict then post them here.

Hi

Thanks for the info. Is there a config file somewhere that contains the setup options?. Also do you know what port the internal modem should point at?
