Modem installation from command prompt
 

Hello, I've just reinstalled red hat linux 7.2 with the server configuration and im having some trouble setting up my modem. How woudl i set up my modem from the command prompt? Ive just installed with the workstation setup two weeks ago, but i wanted to learn how to do things from tyhe comand prompt. If anyone has any websites or could give a breif description if how to do thism I would be very grateful. Thanks,

r u making a dialup cnxion? If that is the case, try this:

wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

For manually setting modems, look for the setserial command:

man setserial
