Question Modem

Greetings

I have installed Red Hat 9.0 and I need to get the modem to work. I have looked on the net for a Linux driver for my modem
(Sonic Blue SuperMax 56i) and have had no luck. I have 2 pci slots one has the modem the other a network card the network card has been found on the initial installation but the modem is not found is there a way to install the modem without buying a new modem and if so I need details. If any one has a drive for this modem can you tell me where to get it?

Thx all

Hi Firewolf,
Two things for you. You can try to disable 'com 2' in your bios and see if you get your modem detected on reboot.
Or
Pop the case off, and pull the card, and write down the chipset off the card. This will help you, as the process is different for 'regular' modems, and 'winmodems', but we don't know which kind of modem you have, so try the first thing first, and if that doesn't work, post the info on your chipset, and you can do your own little hunt at URL http://www.linmodems.org/ and/or http://drivermagic.co.nz/x/welcome . Hope this helps, Dylan sends
