Moc!!

hi all, :newbie:

I using Mandrake 10.1 on a laptop with no trade name. p4 2.4hz 512mb.
i am trying to install wvstreams and after ./configure command i do make and then a message of the kind appears:

make -c xplc
make[1]: entering directory '/home/.../tmp/wvstreams4.0.1/xplc'
cp dist/xplc - uninstalled.pc xplc-uninstalled.pc
make[1]: leaving directory '/home/.../tmp/wvstreams4.0.1/xplc'
linking uniconf/daemon/uniconfd...
linking uniconf/tests/uni...
moc -o include/wvqthook.moc include/wvqthook.h
/bin/bash: line 1 moc command not found
make: ***[include/wvqthook.moc] error 127

Pls can anybody tell me what i am doing wrong?

thanks

this comes with qt. make sure you have qt installed (actually, on Mandrake this probably comes with the qt-devel package).

thanks for your quick response,
I ve checked and I know from the ./configure command that I have qt installed.
Whatelse it could be that it is stopping me to install wvstreams?

do you have qt-devel installed?????????????????????????????

try in a console:

echo $QTDIR

you should get the directory that qt is installed to (probably something like /usr/lib/qt3 or similar).

if that works try:

$QTDIR/bin/moc

and see if you get output (i.e. not an error message about command not found)

if you do not have moc (which stands for meta object compiler and is part of the qt installation) then you need to install it.

As I said it is installed!!!

___J thanks

but

echo $QTDIR ---> /usr/lib/qt3

&

$QTDIR /bin/moc ---> /usr/lib/qt3 is a directory

regards
