mobile phone sharing

I am running the latest Linux Mint on my aspire one and need to share my HTC HD phones internet when I connect my phone I can open a terminal and ping a ip address and a WWW address with a good reply but I cant use my internet or email can any one help. Sean

Ok, so you have your phone, which has a verified internet connection. Your workstation is connected to your phone. You can ping the phone from the workstation, and you can ping google from the workstation? If the answers here are all yes, then the problem is with your browser config on the workstation.
