Unhappy Mobile partner gone missing

Can anyone help a newbie. My acer one was working perfectly with mobile partner and I woke up one morning and it stooped working. I think it had an update but I removed that and still can't get this working. Is there anyway of reloading the original mobile partner ?

Hi, check the file /etc/resolv.conf

This has a list of your name server addresses.

Also look for /etc/resolv.conf~

That's the old file that may contain what you need.

Hi, You may need root privs to access the file.

It was worth a shot, Mine usually reverts to wins addresses like 10.11.12.13

which Linux does not know what to do with.

But I change it back to....
Code:
# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN
nameserver 203.2.193.67
nameserver 202.135.30.4
nameserver 192.168.0.2
search vfinternet.au
search GamesBox.GlennsPref.net
and it connects again. I also turn off the resolv daemon. and set the file as read only.

It may not be the only reason, but one that confounded me for some time.

Regards Glenn.
