/mnt crashes konqueror file browser (Mandrake 10)

When I try to access /mnt in the Konqueror file browser, it either takes an *extremely* long time (30 minutes+) to bring up the mounts or it crashes alltogether.

I've got a W2K partition & a CDR drive, but that's it aside from the standard HDA.

Is there something I can do to rectify this?

When I create a quickbrowser shortcut to my W2K partition it brings it up no problem, the issue only occurs when I try to access /mnt directly.

I'm using KDE 3.2, btw.

Well, it then seems to be a problem with the CD ?
Have you checked different ways to access different CDrom's, and see what happens?
Maybe it has to be with the "supermount" mandrake kernel feature....
