Missing the libstdc++-libc6.1.-1.so.2 library-- AAGH

Well, the title pretty much sums it up. I can't install an rpm file I downloaded because /\ that thing is not there. Is that perhaps included on one of the other Mandrake installation CDs? (I only used the first iso.) If not, where might I procur this thing, and how would I ensure that it worked once I put it into usr/lib? Is simply placing it there the only step? Thanks much for any advice.

Habe you tried this site?

http://rpm.pbone.net

Try searching for libstdc++-libc6 and looking for the right version of Mandrake.

hmm... that looks to be a neat site indeed, but it only seems to offer rpm files. My problem is that I have the rpm I need, but I can't do anyhting with it. When I run the rpm command it tells me of a failed dependency, and that 'libstdc++-libc6.1.-1.so.2' is needed...

Yup,
So go to rpm.pbone and type in the name of the file that is reported as "missing" and download and install the appropriate rpm.
Then install the rpm you're having problems with.
